HELLO hi so I’m alive. 2018 was a...wild ride to say the least. I feels like 10 years worth of events played out in 2018 and I'm still processing it all. But I am super proud of the personal growth that I made! Anyway so my absence on here: long story short my tablet has been dying a slow death over the past year but it’s solved now and hello art. The last thing I uploaded on here was June 2018 and that was…6 months ago?? I’ve done traditional stuff since then but wow, digital art was a surreal experience.

For many years I've felt like Spoon has been the protagnoist in the character world in my head and any fursona I've had has been this sorta side character, wrapped up in side plots rather than the main storyline. And I feel like that mirrored how I felt in real life. There’s this saying that everyone is the protagonist of their own story and this was the year I finally realized that I am the protagonist of my own story. I feel like this should be a given but for so long I felt like a side character is someone else’s story. Not really taking up space, just kinda there in the corner helping the actual protagonist. And somewhere along the way of realizing that I'm allowed to exist and take up space and be my own protagonist Spoon kind of became my fursona.

I love Stir and I'm still keeping her around as a character, and who knows, maybe one day she'll be my sona again. But right now I can't see her as anything other than who I was the summer of 2017. She's this perfect snapshot of a moment in time, a milestone before the craziness of the fall of 2017 and it's transition into winter 2018. I can't imagine changing her but at the same time, but she's still, in a way, a sort of side character and I don't feel like she grew with me this year. But Spoon's always grown with me. So anyway, here's to 2019!
