Cooooooooooool ink! Wow imagine if crows could shoot blood. I heard some lizards do through there eyes!
Wow im so off topic.
Loving the strands of blood! Did you use the straw technique where you blow the watery ink with a straw?

Thanks lol, off topic is fine, I love to ramble, and no actually, but also sort of, I used a pipette (think thats how you spell it) a paint brush to wet the paper in places, and a caligraphy pen. But i used the pipette to "blow" the ink around a bit and make the splatter marks if that makes any sense atall. Thanks for the question by the way!

TannyBo In reply to SpoonNib [2016-09-17 12:38:22 +0000 UTC]

oh yay! let's ramble bamble til the ... bramble... dies... okay nevermind lol

Ah i thought so! Oh cool! using a pipette! I didn't realize they were that powerful.
That brings back nostalgic memories of being in school Blowing the ink or paint everywhere ^^ ...Then getting in trouble because it went all over the tables...

Hey no problem! Thanks for getting back
If you have any questions, blaze away! ^^

Everyone stays atleast 5 metres away from my desk in art because i have a tendency to throw ink, water paint or whatever at the paper and get it everywhere... like all over their work too... that said one girl once told me she thought I improved her work which is good
And if I have any *struggles to think**, i will blaze lol

Hahaaa that painted the funniest picture in my head hehe!
whatever gets the job done ey lol

Aw thats nice of her. That actually happened to me once.
My class mate spilled a glob of water all over this fox i was painting but the splodge actually made a pretty neat tail ^^
Class is full of surprises right!

Yay! That's A-okay!

I love when that happens, accidentally doing things right in art is the best.
I just remembered this one time, back.when i was in highschool and i got over enthusiastic with blue ink (pretty tame compared to how I am now actually) and i got it all over my friends new sketch book, on a blank page, and she moved to another table and didn't speak to me for a month!
we really do ramble haha

Mmhmm i'm with ya there!
hahahahaa you have to do a video of you painting because i can just imagine water flying everywhere ^^

oh i can feel the scorn!... so it has its dark sides too. maybe its up to the artist who has been splattered on. I knew a fair amount of people who were awful company in class.

hehe! i hold memories accountable for this!

I will have to get someone who is brave enough to film next time they let me loose in the studio haha
And I know that feel. My class is pretty small, but the person who dropped the course last year was the only one i didnt really get on with so its great now ^_^

it's quite nice to have a section that belongs to you though, its one way of establishing dominance!
ooh wow. what a stroke of luck!

TannyBo In reply to SpoonNib [2016-09-17 14:51:12 +0000 UTC]

hehe. I always had the idea to make some kind of 'Igor' slave but then I realized that would be terrible because, after you've done the painting, I always found like weird patterns in the splodges and left-behinds of whatever medium your using.
It looked so cool.

Sometimes the bit you dont intend to become art looks the most artistic doesnt it? I always save my pallets/ take a picture of the table because the mess looks as good as the actual painting haha

TannyBo In reply to SpoonNib [2016-09-17 15:09:35 +0000 UTC]

oh snap dude! it's nice to know another fellow artist has seen this
yeah it does doesn't it!

I actually heard a study on how humans can pick out faces out of patterns, thats just something thats hardwired in us, and it really shows when you stare at the messy pallets and stuff afterwards. Like with Roarsharch's blobs, people seeing humans or animals or supernatural humanoids.
It's freaky cool!

SpoonNib In reply to TannyBo [2016-09-17 15:57:28 +0000 UTC]

I love stuff like that, I was learning about ink blobs in psychology, and how what you see in them says something about you, so whenever i look at abstract art (or the mess i make) i always think about that, it is really cool!

TannyBo In reply to SpoonNib [2016-09-17 15:59:46 +0000 UTC]

Dude do you study psychology. So do I?
hehe those messes are seeming more and more beneficial!
Yeah! it could bear some relevance. I think Roarsharch related it to the mental state of someones mind.
Do you think it could be related to the mindscape too?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SpoonNib In reply to TannyBo [2016-09-17 16:18:17 +0000 UTC]

Ooh your a psychologist too? Are you at Uni or college then? and I think it could because I think a mindscape is very much influence by your current state of mind
This conversation took a turn for the deep! haha

TannyBo In reply to SpoonNib [2016-09-17 16:24:52 +0000 UTC]

Im studying my BA in psychology. How about you?
Yes exactly, it could also be something about the spontaneous idea you get when looking at the picture.
lol! it can attack from anywhere!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SpoonNib In reply to TannyBo [2016-09-17 16:39:13 +0000 UTC]

A level psychology, on my second year now, how are you finding it?
I find spontaneous responses really interesting because we were doing about Freud a few months back and we tried out the word association thing, and the spontaneous response to words for me is an image so i was just saying whatever i saw, and i remeber getting really stuck on the word bomb, because i litterally was just thinking of a bomb and the girl i was sat with just didnt get why I couldnt answer

TannyBo In reply to SpoonNib [2016-09-17 16:52:30 +0000 UTC]

Ah cool! You enjoying it?
It's awesome! Im on my placement year, but next year you get to do your own research project including gathering data! from start to finish
It's pretty exciting.

Oh I remeber that hehe
Oh wait so you created a mental image of the word and then responded?
hhahahaa aw, a bomb ey? Hmm, thats quite a tough one to be honest.

oh i have to ask... have you done conformity yet? where you learn about Asch's test?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SpoonNib In reply to TannyBo [2016-09-17 17:10:44 +0000 UTC]

Its really difficult, but yeah, I really do, it helps the.my teacher is quirky and really knows.her stuff too.
Thats sounds cool, any idea what you will do.it on yet?
and yep, that was the first thing we learned about last year

TannyBo In reply to SpoonNib [2016-09-17 17:19:40 +0000 UTC]

That's good to hear
Oh pfft. Not at all lol
oh goodie! i ask because im wondering if your tutor demonstrated that with someone from your class?
The person we tried to get to conform didnt conform at all -.- lol

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

SpoonNib In reply to TannyBo [2016-09-17 18:05:19 +0000 UTC]

ooh no we didnt get a demo for that, we did have one for free will vs determined behavior where the teacher said we could leave the class if we wanted and nobody ussually does but someone actually left which surprised her!, I started putting my folders away but then after this girl left, the teacher shut the door and said the demo was over , what was your demonstration for Asch?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TannyBo In reply to SpoonNib [2016-09-17 18:13:42 +0000 UTC]

HAHAAHAHAAAAA! thats hilarious!!!!
awwww i wish my tutor did that one on us instead :'D

Yeah no we just did one where a classmate was sent out on a useless task, and while they were gone, the tutor told us to choose the wrong answers for the 'test' we were gonna have, and the whole idea was to see if the classmate who came back without knowing the plan, would also choose the wrong options because everyone else did.
Unfortunently the classmate our tutor picked wasnt being fooled lol

SpoonNib In reply to TannyBo [2016-09-17 18:33:25 +0000 UTC]

aww that would have been fun to do, but yeah I feel like if you have just learned about Asch, it would be pretty easy to guess whats going on haha

TannyBo In reply to SpoonNib [2016-09-17 18:52:18 +0000 UTC]

mmhmm, your one sounded way funnier!
thats true, but it was our first lesson. this classmate was just not easy to fool
