I follow you on tumblr now so I get to see these great sketches along with the hilarious stories that often go with them. I know you and a friend seem to bounce these wonderful ideas back and forth, and I'm a big fan, lol. But also, I'd like to thank you for keeping me in touch with my Saint Seiya...ness... (Maybe I should say "my cosmos!" instead?) >_> But yeah, I was into this series back in high school and I was completely ALONE with it because it wasn't really popular here in the U.S. and I didn't have the internets back then. I kind of lost touch with this awesome series for a while (YEARS) until you got into it. (Which made me rave, huzzah!) And it's way more fun to go through the series again and then go back and look at your drawings. You've also made me love Canon, and more importantly Canon x Radamanthys. Not to mention I love Ikki even more now. Sooo yeah.. Long message is long, but I'm one of those people that likes to try and express how many "feels" your art gives me. <3 So thanks. And keep it up!! ^_^

Man, I wish I could have been your friend back then! It sucks to be into a series by yourself (I know this feeling really well, a lot of my fandoms are teeny tiny) ;A; But, that makes me super glad now that my art can be enjoyable to you that way!! there's the classic series that's "finished"
the hades ovas that are finished
there's the sequel Next Dimention that has some chapters (manga only)
the "The Lost Canvas" prequel that's animated halfway trough (but the manga's finished)
the Episode G manga thats ALMOST finished

everything is connected in several ways
the classic series(late 80's to early 90's), the Hades ovas (2004 - 2010 or so), & the next Dimention sequel are part of one continuity
the Episode G prequel is debatable wherever its Canon or not, since, unlike the other prequels and spin offs the author (Masami Kurumada)is credited as scriptwriter while another dude (Megumu Okada) handles the drawings
The Lost Canvas & Omega are spin offs and have their own continuity (non canon to the original story (clasicc anime & original manga)
The Lost Canvas is a prequel taking place around 200 years before the original series, so its the only one that u could watch without having to worry about continuity and stuff, but u would probably enjoy it more if u started for the beginning...
now if you decide to watch the anime, please DO NOT get the dubbed version, it sucks

so which one do I start with?

the ideal would be starting with plain ol' Saint Seiya (aka classic), if u can find it with english subs
but I'm afraid that the first part of the series hasn't aged very well (not to mention the rather ovbious plot holes due of lack of planning and the filling but that's another issue)
u can also start with Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, its a rather new series and really epic, u will miss some part of the experience tough....
