Oh em gee, a new line of OC's!!! 8D
This past month whilst visiting , we came up with this awesome concept for a graphic novel, a story taking place well over a hundred years into our current future. We're still a bit off on a name for it, but for now we're calling it Rain Dog Apts. Or something.

Anyhoo yes, new characters, created by both Livi-chan and myself, although a few of them already exist. The story itself is brilliant and fun, and I hope we can get to writing and illustrating it soon. For now, I'd like to introduce these guys to you.

From left to right:

Leon
A very creepy, very mysterious young man who seems to blend into the very air of wherever he is. He's hella plain, but also hella creepy. There's something very ethereal about him. Hint hint, wink wink, nudge nudge. Leon's name actually comes from a nickname he got after being hired by a very familiar looking little shorty one person over in line. Since he can disappear into the background, his coworkers have Christened him Chamaleon (chameleon), and his nickname was born. Leon doesn't really HAVE a real name, or anything, really. No one knows where he came from, or how. He doesn't speak very much. Hell, he doesn't speak PERIOD, except a few words in Spanish. His attire would make anyone else stand out like a sore thumb, but Leon melts into anything. He wears gloves constantly, to disguise the fact that his fingerprints are missing. Very useful indeed for the purposes of a very tall female and her plans for conquering the realms of New York.

Paopao
A Chinese prostitute of exceedingly higher value and class. Thrown into the game when she was only a young girl, she's been in the business ever since then. A very intelligent young woman, she's mastered every single language in the known world, a handy little trick if you're catering to a very extended clientele, and about to be hired by the Godmother of all amateur organized crime for some other shady business that's very hush hush. Paopao knows how to sell the product, hence the reason why she looks the way she does. It's always nice to know what sells and have plenty of it stored away. Yes, I am talking about those huge tits of hers. THEY ARE FAKE, duh.

Jorge Rodriguez
You know him, more or less. Only there's some slight differences here. In this story, yes, he is still a mutant of sorts that is half rabbit half human, only in this case we know why that is. He's part of a failed experiment to turn animals into more human-like pets for people to own. He escaped from the labs he'd been created in, which just happened to be in a remote part of Mexico. He'd been on the lam since then, eventually finding his way to New York and being the owner of his own landscaping business. Yes, he can still turn into a rabbit. In this story, Jorge is not Mexican at all, but rather a full blooded Italian, but he has no idea that his DNA was gotten from an ex-mobster who's been frozen in a cryogenics lab. As far as he's concerned, he's a Latino, all the way.

Olivia Feuhrer Rodriguez
The Godmother. A very intelligent, classy, foul-mouthed and TALL bitch! And she's Jewish. She'd been running a miniature meth lab in her apartment for years after graduating from Harvard University, and it just so happens that she and Jorge live in the same apartment building! After a rather rough start into their acquaintanceship, she and Jorge become very VERY close, and eventually end up as a very loving couple. Olivia takes advantage of Jorge's tiny stature and charm as well as his ability to hide his fingerprints under fuzzy bunny feet to turn him into a runner for her merchandise. She expands from there, recruiting most of the men he has working for him (all Mexican of course, ) as either runners, cooks, hitmen, security, or even scapegoats and fix-it men. Eventually her little lab expands to the size that is unimaginable, and they not only sell meth anymore, but SEX as well. She incorporates the use of prostitutes, but not in a way that is known as pimping. She offers all the prostitutes she can find room and board, and protection, as well as health and benefits. Monthly checkups are preformed, weekly STD tests done, and all in all they're kept very healthy. Business is booming. And it is still expanding.

Minerva
A "HUMA". A genetically engineered work of art. She's literally a living robot, made to accommodate the wants and needs of any person who can afford her. Equipped with a lack of real emotions and criticism or any other humanly fault, she can be either the perfect companion, the perfect worker, the perfect lover, or the perfect helper in anything a person could want. She's actually a "cousin" of Jorge's, in a way. She comes from the same company that abandoned his kind from the failed experiment in the first place. She and many others like her, all a different "model", were let loose into society as an experiment to see if they can find their own keeper and survive. This way errors and faulty merchandise can be cut off before production is made. Minerva eventually finds Olivia, and is instantly taken in by her. They become inseparable, and eventually goes on to live with her as well as help out in the business. At first glance it would seem that Min's model is a complete success, but as time goes on, she develops certain faults such as longing, jealousy, lust, fear, and sadness. Still that's okay. With this fault she's getting the ability to learn for herself as well as think for herself, and eventually finds quite the happy life with a man. I won't mention who at the moment.

Unagi
A brilliant young Japanese man who also attended Harvard in attempts to become a great technician and scientist. Being Asian, he is of course highly intelligent, but could not get a scholarship because of who he is. (A "minority". ) He eventually attempted to pay off his tuition himself, but unfortunately whilst vacationing in Japan during his first years as a college student, he had found the love of his life in a girl working in a store in Tokyo. It was love at first sight, and what was meant to be a week long vacation turned out to be a year long as he tried to woo her. She faked not knowing any English. They married after discovering she'd become pregnant with his child, and moved back to New York. Unfortunately, with the strain of one child and another one on the way beginning to wear him down, Unagi was unable to keep up with his tuition payments and was eventually forced by the university staff to abandon his education to support his family. Some of the staff at the university weren't complete assholes, so they offered him a job on the grounds as a janitor instead. Life is hard for Unagi. Born and raised in Louisiana, he's every bit Japanese as Hitler was a hypochondriatic Jew. He's very tall for his race, and yes, Unagi is his real name. Because he looks like an eel, with his sharp teeth, his hair always up like that as if electrified, and his love of all things electrical. Olivia and Jorge end up hiring Unagi for their purposes, needing a talented electrician to help in the construction of fans and lights and etc for their growing meth labs. His salary multiplies, and he becomes a very valuable part as well as friend and family to the growing cause.

Rata
Real name Eugene Schwartz. The second eldest of eight brothers, and a mestizo family of a Native American father and a Mexican mother, Rata is not the prettiest of all the guys in our story. Exceedingly intelligent and funny as well as charming, he is unfortunately exceedingly stupid. But in a cute way. He also tried to go to Harvard, dreaming of becoming a talented chemist someday, and almost got in with his astounding scores and IQ. His name also gave him a big advantage to his acceptance. However, when the board of directors saw the gangly, dark-skinned, long-haired, rat-faced young man with the scruffy and ragged clothes walk into their midst with a grin that had more British teeth than a gentleman from London, all the positions were suddenly full. Rata was not accepted into the University. He eventually ends up working for Jorge in his landscaping business, as well as still working with harsh chemicals and fire to do what he'd always wanted to do; become a chemist. Able to mix anything and everything in a way that can be pure and almost entirely safe, Rata is recruited by Jorge to become a cooker for Olivia's labs, and becomes the head chemist in the place. Years of working with harsh substances have burned and erased any and all fingerprints from the tips of his long slender hands, also making him a perfect runner for delivering meth orders as well. Rata is virtually as untraceable as Leon, or even Jorge himself. A very well loved young man, despite his desperate need for a haircut.

And there you have it, folks! The first half of the line of characters in a story we spent well over a month creating, and developing. I hope to draw a ref for the rest of the cast soon, but it may take a while. It's quite the lineup of characters.
