0.5 mechanical pencil on lightly textured paper.Okay, this is waht started it all for me. I think.
Back in the day, back when we still had something called "Saturday morning cartoons", I was about 5-7 years old, and The Ren & Stimpy Show was my beck and call. I grew up with these guys, and I actually never drew any fan-art until just recently.
WHY?
I have no idea, but here it is.
Ren is undoubtedly my favorite. I loved everything about him; his personality, facial expressions, body language, rage, passion, violence, intelligence, and of course, his voice, which came from creator John K himself. I actually met John two years ago, and he was very sweet. He drew me a picture, just for me!! I'll post it one of these days. Hell maybe even today! XD
Anyway, these doodles took me quite a while to do because I actually drew them from freeze-framed cartoons (I have all five seasons of The R&S Show. FREAK!!!) and I had to restart the DVD several times for each pose before I was happy.

I know how you feel. I grew up with these guys and i miss them like crazy. BUT! At least i have all five seasons as well as the lost episodes directed and made by John himself.

Amazing work. I really love Ren as well. I find your skills at expressions very exceptional. It captures Ren spot-on!

thank you so much!! i was able to capture him because i drew them right off the TV
these doodles took me a while though, because they came from VHS recordings, and the quality wasnยดt as crystal clear. Imagine what i coulda done with DVD quality!! BWAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!

"Oh, no you don't. I told you before; brushing your teeth is for humans. Kids' stuff. *Shoves Stimpy aside* Crazy stuff."
*Grins at the mirror, his teeth start cracking and then- POOF!!!*
*Ren quickly covers his mouth*
Just walk away, man! Stimpy watches him go sadly.
*shuddering* You know, i actually had the EXACT SAME THING happen to me?? not the teeth shattering thing, just the jolting, THROBBING, HEAD SPLITTING PAIN!!! It was HORRIBLE!!!!

Heh, I remember Ren & Stimpy from my early teenage years on Saturday nights, when Nickelodeon would run a block of stuff like Clarissa Explains It All, Are You Afraid Of The Dark, Roundhouse, and, of course, Ren & Stimpy. Sad thing is all I remember from that show are the following bits:
"No, sir, I don 't like it." - (I think the horse guy said that after trying that kitty litter...)
