I see Val as the normally chill dude who only lets you get so close, before confirming you as a threat, I was hoping to give a little background as to why this would happen to begin with, as Valstrax does not strike me as an aggressive, oppressive force, but rather, one that needs to be seriously pissed off to be the one to start the conflict, so yeah, that and he reminds me of Tiabablylo or Bahamut from World of Final Fantasy

To really help you understand how different they are
Valstrax will be PAINFULLY realistic, very cunning, a little chill, not gullible, can't be tricked, and doesn't take shit from ANYONE, no real anger issues

Ya see, back in the days of the great dragon war, the texts never said anything about Valstrax appearing at all, so it would stand to reason that Valstraxes just avoided it entirely, in fact I have a theory about how Valstraxes are somehow connected to the deviant fated four and bloodbath

Elderfrost Gammoth: ice, snow
Soulseer Mitzutsune: Water, blast
Boltreaver Astalos: Thunder, paralysis
(probably Magnetism if translated into Frontier)
Valstrax: Dragon/Arcane, stun
Bloodbath Diablos: pure brute strength, stun
Notice how each of them are elements that can be obtained on hunter's weapons, clearly it must be more than a coincidence
