first of all your tutorial is really cool and I want to use your technique, bur for that I have some questions would like to ask you:
1. How do you long do you need to create one wound area like the first one?
2. Where do you buy your liquid latex and the fake blood?
3. Does the liquid latex in the first steps need to dry or can I just paint the make up over it right away?
4. Is it easy to get rid of the latex-stuff afterwards? Can I just wash it off or something?
5. This question is the most important, I donΒ΄t know if you ever wore the make up for a longer period of time, but do you think it will last about 11 hours or so? Because I want to make a Zombie costume for a theme week and I would like those kinds of wounds you make. But IΒ΄m not sure if it will be alright after such a long time, maybe the latex is just going to detach itself?
I would be really thankful for some answers. And thanks for the tutorial, itΒ΄s really nice ^_^

The regular "skin" colored latex. It's a very pale peachy color.

TP is fucking brilliant. <3
I just got back into doing things like this, and I like the use of TP instead of nose and scar wax. ( That's fun stuff for detailed gashes and doing 'embedded' objects in the flesh.)

*is disappoint* Damn, all I have is shit loads of spirit gum. And 5 days till the convention I wanna put your tutorial to use at. Can I use spirit gum? I also have that fake flesh gooey crap... Any suggestions?
I mean, I have a very low budget, so I wanna at least try to make do with what I've already got.

Spirit gum will work for gluing on pre-made pieces. I've never used that "fake flesh" stuff, so I don't know.
Elmer's glue can be used for scraped knuckles and skin-peels, though. That's pretty low budget. Also, if you have a good enough paint kit, you can do some cool things without latex.
Hope that helps. Is the con you're going to AKon? If it is, maybe I'll see you.

Helpful. :3 Thankies!
Nah, but I totally wish I was. I'm going to Colossalcon, though. Are you? *hopes like hell*
By the way, I'm not that great of a SFX artist[in my opinion] but I did something without any fake flesh or wax or anything but spirit gum... It's the newest thing in my gallery, if you wanna see it. O///3///O
