Blair is getting a head start on leaving the farm and getting to where gros are going to be heading out for Staves Rest, but they gotta say bye to their family first (Narga had decided to come with Blair when they told him what happened). Angela had cried (As Blair had assumed she would) and Rusty had given them a drawing to remember her by (as if they could ever forget). Belle and Bellmont had been a fairly quiet goodbye, and when it came to Hermit, Blair made sure she knew that she would always be welcome with them (of course all of their siblings were but... Blair was worried for her). After their siblings and their children went inside, they did one last check with Showtune and all the pets in the cart, and after getting the good-to-go from their daughter, they turned to their father, who was sniffing the air and making a sound they would almost describe as a snarl. Blair sighed deeply and turned to where their mother had approached, holding the paper they had written the message for her on. Before they could even hand it over, Tranquility spoke.

Tranquility watched with disinterest as Blair reacted to her words. She was obviously right, even if they didn't want to hear it, and she stood in silence as they threw the paper meant for her onto the ground and climbed into the cart, swiftly followed by her... by Narga. She watched, waiting until the cart was out of view to grab the paper and uncrumple it.

...

Whatever. They would be back.
