Description
Today we are talking about the indigenous peoples of North America, at least a small selection of tribes who had contact with the English and/or French. In the following I will mention a few tribes, but I will return to the topic in the future when we focus more on North America and mention other tribes. But now to the tribes:

- The Iroquois are a very well-known tribe. Their tribes once lived in an area that included parts of what is now Canada and the USA. They are famous for their longhouses, their hairstyles but also for their Iroquois Confederacy consisting of the 6 tribes: Cayuga, Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Seneca and Tuscarora. They had early contact with the French in the early 1600s. They fought with the French (such as the Beaver Wars) and traded furs with the Dutch.

- The Hatteras, also known as Croatoan, were a rather small tribe, but they were among the first tribes to have contact with the Europeans. They were good fishermen and canoeists. They were friendly to Europeans and played a role in the infamous vanished colony of Roanoke. Later, their numbers declined due to diseases introduced by the Europeans, but also due to conflicts with other tribes. Their people have been considered extinct since 1788.

- The Wyandot, called Hurons by the French. They traded with the French and were their allies against the Iroquois, but also against the British. After numerous wars, especially against the Iroquois, but also after diseases from the Europeans, their numbers declined for a while, but they still exist today.

One thing I would like to note, I will replace the picture in a time not yet known to me, or add a new one because I think it's cool but somehow it doesn't quite fit me.
