Description
I was never really into painting and haven't tried it in years. But when your job searching and have a bunch of spare time, why not experiment?I started out wanting to follow Bob Ross's tutorial. Then I realized he did oil and I only had acrylics. I looked up other landscape tutorials and somehow ended up with this. Then I decided why not add a Tardis?
It's experimental, but I had fun and plan to try again now that I have a better idea of how to paint.Β I'm still working on it, hence it goes into scraps.
I still don't get how to paint water.
Mostly uploaded this because I wanted *something* on my new deviant page to start with. You know..to show that I am active again.

Β Next one I'll try to make the water more mirror-y. I'm kind of aiming to try a bunch of different things and techniques rather than getting frustrated trying to make a perfect one.

To me the water and the trees as well as the background look awesome. I figure, the house looks a bit cut in. I suppose, if you would paint without outline, it would look smoother. I wonder, if the picture would not look more harmonic if you left the house away - so that it would be a nature picture.
To me it looks very impressionistic. Great work
Keep it up
And welcome (back) to deviantART

Great painting!
Water's like a rough mirror. I thought you handled it well, though.

The sad part is I messed with it today and I think I made it worst...

Acrylic is easy enough to paint over once it dries.Β Β
