OK, set me straight here. Do you sew all the patterns together, then glue it all to the, uh... foam base? Is that how adding the fabric is done?

Well for the face yeah, but for the body we don't glue the fabric to the foam because it stays in place without the glue, and if we don't glue it it's a lot easier to wash.
