Personality: Yew is the first adult Pokémon that Phoebe obtained, because of that, and Yew’s limited psychic power from her blend typing, she became a sort of babysitter for the rest of the group. Yew can read Phoebe or a non-Dark type’s mind and pick up on emotions and prominent images in that person or Pokémon’s head and convey them to someone else. This has helped Phoebe with translating her commands to her Pokémon and her Pokémon’s quirks to her. Although Yew is a well-respected member of the team, a lot of the Pokémon are physically distant from her because of her Snow Warning ability. Orion is the one exception.
Signs of her special typing are in the extra ice crystals on her forehead and limbs, as well as the runes on her limbs and larger crystals. Phoebe believes these might help with Yew’s psychic attacks.
Trivia: The runes on her body are Celtic for "fir" and "yew."
