If a mistake is made in your initial claim, you can re-attempt to adopt the pet an hour after your original attempt. You most likely will not be notified of any mistakes so your best bet is to just READ the conditions in the first place. (I say most likely because I have seen a few other people pointing out errors and such.)

But don't be an idiot and keep making mistakes because that's just annoying for the Springs to have to deal with. And be grateful that you even have a second chance!

When Claiming a pet read the Conditions Placed for that pet. Conditions are placed right under the Pets name and Info. If there are no Conditions means that pet is up for Normal adoption. After you have your new pet you must wait 24 complete hour to go adopt another one. Normal Claim are first come first serve if you forget Claim: -Name- You Will fail to get that pet and it will go to the next person to claim it. On Pokemons you must use :-iconcatchplz: without - pokemons are differnt from normal pet. Mean they are Not first come first serve. If you Fail to catch that pokemon you must wait 1 hour to try and catch it again. (if she/he hasnt be caught) On Kiribain pets you must have a screen shot of the important #(as in Pageveiw) If you dont have the screenshot you will fail to claim that pet. Dont Yell I caught 87549 page View its mine! If somebody happen to get a pet you want do not get mad at them. If a pet is found exploring or is a custom that pet will not be up for adoption. That also includes offspring. Remember all claim must include Claim-name- unless stated other wise.

Before claiming go read the "How to Adopt Rules". Don't skim, READ!

But if you make a mistake, first things first! Stay claim and drink some tea. Why do this? Well if you do not stay calm you might make Cao mad and that is a bad idea. The tea is for the wait, because now you have to wait an hour before trying again.

Also don't get pissy if you get disqualified. I know it stinks, but really get over it.

It all depends on what pet you are going to try for. I hate to make a list, but I'm going to. After all, I did take time to read the rules when I first started.
First off if you claim incorrectly you will not be notified by the Springs and will have to wait an hour for reclaiming, that is if you know you claimed wrong, if not the pet might already be taken by someone else. So, don't get angry if this happens, it's not the Springs fault after all.
For normal pets you must wait an hour before reclaiming.
For condition pets it all depends on the condition. Some conditions have a one claim per person and no re-claims. While others have unlimited guessing, but you must wait for the Springs to respond. It all depends on the condition so, do read the condition before posting a claim!
for raffle/contest pets once again this depends on the conditions gave. Like there was a pet not to long ago where you could only post a claim and nothing else or you would be disqualified from the raffle. So read the description of the pet for further instructions about claiming and reclaiming. Same goes for event pets!
The kiribian pets not only do you have to have the right page view you must claim correctly. If not claimed correctly you must wait an hour without being told. If someone else gets it before you don't throw a fit about it.
For the poikemon look alike pets you must claim correctly in it's format given on the How To Adopt page. If you claim incorrectly you must wait an hour before trying again and if you don't get the pokemon you have to wait another hour before trying to recapture it.
Last but not least if you try to claim a pet after you have gotten a pet within 24 hours you must wait 24 hours before trying to reclaim that pet if it hasn't been claimed already.
To wrap this all up just read through the How To Adopt Rules and read through the description of the pet so you don't mess up a claim. Simple as that. If you mess up no one will notify you and you must wait an hour unless otherwise stated.

If you mess up a claim, sometimes you will be notified, most often not, but you may retry in 1 hour (60 minutes) from the messed up claim.

if you mess up on a claim, you will not be notified, it is up to you to know what you did wrong. When you realise this mistake, you have wait an hour before you can try your claim again. This does not apply when it is a condition pet with a one answer per person condition.

In most cases, if you mess up your claim, you are not told and have to wait an hour, but of course, there are those 'exceptions' that the normal claim rules do not count. Ex. Some you cannot have a 're-do' or 're-try'.

If you mess up your claim, you'll have to wait an hour before you can try again. This is the general rule that applies to any up for adoption pets, unless the conditions of said pet state otherwhise. For example, if you do wrong on certain contest/raffle pets you will be disqualified and won't be given a second chance.
Also, if you mess up your claim, don't expect the Springs to notify you about it.

If you mess up a claim (like not saying claim or just giving a name or answer) you have to wait an hour to try again. This is true unless it is stated in the rules no do-overs.

If you screw up your claim for example don't put a name and just answer or say I want it you have to wait a hour to try and claim again and you have to realize you messed up too. Exceptions are if its one guess and you forget your claim you are not able to try again and are incapable of claiming that creature.
