Nougat bats the bell around a little bit before it skitters out onto the pond ice. Nougat, in the heat of the hunt, doesn't heed your shouts to stay off the ice and chases after it. The ice breaks and the small gryphione slips into the cold pond water. Before you can panic, something from deep below pushes Nougat and the bell out of the water and across the ice to the shore. As you cuddle Nougat to warm her up again, you notice that the gryphione that saves yours has a different type of feather - almost penguin like, looking more like impervious skin than feathers.
