With this, are Garden Avis not accepted as the dwarf form of a regular Avis?

No, garden avis are their own species branch. They share an ancestor, but developed differently as a species, mostly because their chosen habitats required them to be smaller. Β

so, out of curiosity, are Ikids the dwarf Ikedas, or is there still an unseen dwarf Ikeda species?

I wonder what the dwarf ikeda will look like

Yes, which in turn means that dwarf releases will be rarer.

Hm no, there are no 'giant' species at the Springs.
Besides, breeding choices and preferences tend to decrease the size of a species; I've never heard of someone breeding to make an animal bigger.

ΰ² _ΰ² Who on earth would want to make a gigantic rabbit? The bigger those things are, the more evil they become.

No clue, but I can say if we breed the Flemish Giant any bigger, we may one day be able to ride them. [link]
