This song is very near to my heart. It explains how there is a dark side to everything beautiful, but by accepting the flaws of something you can then truly appreciate it. You have to look past the shortcomings of someone to really love them - and what is life without love? Every relationship has problems, but each can be worked through. We hurt each other, but can get past differences. When someone hurts you, it is very likely they are hurting too.

This song talks about how Dre has been used and is tired of the rap business, but\ Eminem talks about how Dre risked so much for him to get his start and it paid off a TON. I love Eminem, he's one of the few rap artists with actually meaningful music. Dre talks about how his risk paid off, since all his "fair weather friends" left him when things got tough, but Eminem stuck around. Such a great illustration of friendship. I share your skepticism of rap and hiphop, but this song is an exception for a good reason.

I think that the whole meaning of this song is amazing it shows a women that doesn't want to be used anymore and if they love her truly and want to be with her they would marry her. No more excuses, if he doesn't do it she's not gonna be involved with him anymore. Her mother has told her about men like that and she's gonna make sure that she isn't playing into his hands without a ring on her finger. It shows a girl wanting a long lasting marriage and not settling for second best.

When I hear this song I think about myself, A Normal person who gets depressed from time to time. The thoughts of ending it all do rush through my mind, but I want to stand strong! I try to salvage all the pieces and hold onto the ones that will keep me going. Just when it gets to the worst part of it all the thought of really doing it, loved ones come into view and save me from those thoughts. This song helps others like me not to get to that point of wanting to end it all.

I've been rather obsessing over this song lately since I grew up with Enya and forgot about her until like..Thursday night in my friend's car when this came on. So here we go.

Anywhere Is is a lot of questions. It's about finding yourself, I believe, in that it repeats in different ways that everywhere you turn could be a new beginning or the end of a story. Throughout the song there are so many questions left unanswered, such as:

"The moon upon the ocean
Is swept around in motion
But without ever knowing
The reason for its flowing."

The song itself is not only a lot of questions but a lot of imagery. The focus of the song really seems to be the imagery along with the background music.

The chorus itself is:

"You go there you're gone forever
I go there I'll lose my way
If we stay here we're not together
Anywhere Is"

To a lot of people this could be confusing, but what it's trying to talk about is a romance between two people. If you go there alone, you're gone forever. If I go there alone, I'll lose my way. If both of us stay here we can't be together. So the only solution is for both of us to go together.

I dunno I just really love the symbolic meaning behind this song. I feel like the song itself is rather hard to explain because based on all of the unanswered questions, all of the imagery, you could imagine so many things, or come up with so many different meanings.

I myself, when listening to this song, think of the beach on a starry night with the moon and some gentle clouds overhead, the water waving just gently.

The beginning of the song is, "I walk the maze of moments, but everywhere I turn to begins a new beginning , but never finds a finish. I walk to the horizon, and there I find another. It all seems so surprising."

This suggests that there's always a new beginning everywhere you turn. Always new doors to be opened.

But then at the end it says:

"To leave the thread of all time
And let it make a dark line
In hopes That I can Still Find
The way back to the moment
I took the turn and turned to
Begin a new beginning
Still looking for the answer
I cannot find the finish
It's either this or that way
It's one way or the other
It should be one direction
It could be on reflection

This suggests that while it /could/ be the beginning, you could be wrong and it might actually be the end. It's either this or that way, it's one way or the other. It should be one direction, it could be on relection."

Suggesting that you could be going one way or another and you would never know. Life is just one big journey and you really never know where you'll end up.

This song coveres a lot about how so many people are worried about the problems in the world, such as wars, yet, he tries to focus on the smaller things that can make a person smile, such as spending time with a loved one, while all of the other issues are going on. <3 (this is the only video I could find, the beginning has an announcer cuz its from a tv show....But the song is amazing)
