Description
Type: BreedingUsed to guarantee that the markings of the offspring will be the same as the markings of the motherβs.
Cannot be used in combination with the GenderBender Potion if both creatures are male. If used with a Genderbender where both creatures are female, the mate listed second is considered maternal.
Cannot guarantee on custom markings.
Cannot be used to guarantee mutations.
Can be used to guarantee all of the mother's markings or only select markings. If no specific marking is designated at time of breeding, the potion will default to all of the markings.

If I used this for the Xoal breeding and I was using Lugia, would it guarantee that the offspring would be a Xoal and not a thunderbird?

I just wanted to provide an update for you on this question, as I changed the way I dealt with Lugia and Ho-oh's offspring a long time ago (because you guys won't stop breeding them and I kinda regret making that breeding condition come into existence). Neither of the Instincts potions will guarantee a species. The species has been determined by the season for over a year now; these two birds will always produce an offspring of the species that is currently in season.
