I slowly approach the graceful deer and stretch out my hand for her to sniff.
"Hello Meadow," I say softly, "I'm here to take care of you. I know you've been lonely but I promise I'll be here for you. So what to you say: friends?"

Β Rubs Meadow lightly behind her ear. Smiles lightly. I assume the forests have been treating you well. Stops, and looks around for something to treat the young Ikedian with. Caehan remembers the couple apples tucked away in his messenger bag and considers retrieving them for his four-legged friend.

Β Grins. I assume you smell my apples, little miss? Caehan slips a hand into his messenger bag and removes one of the two apples. He brings it to theΒ Ikedian's nose and smiles.
