Conditions: ERHMERGERSH, JK is writing a script for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them! All of the Harry Potter fangirl in me has been squealing basically all day (even though my Racism/Genocide course this afternoon)!
In order to enter this raffle, you must tell which creature from the book is your favourite and why (the creatures included in the book can be found here , for people who don't have the book) as well as include a proper claim.
I know there are many wonderful creatures in this book, but please, only pick one for your claim.

I have two favourite beasts
1: Unicorns Reason: Because they are beautiful and majestic and they can heal you and do all sorts of wonderful things! I mean really who wouldn't like these beauties? I love them!
2: Dragons Reason: Dragons are amazing. Or at least i think so. Their scales can be any color they breathe fire. Isn't that cool? I think so! I would like to own one.. If i could. I love them and think they are beautiful.

One of the many creatures I like in HP is their dragons. Now I like em all, especially their more cool or ferious looking ones like the Norweegen Ridgeback like Hagrid had because that was just darn cute and looked like it would be one killer of a dragon to have when grown. But the one I've chosen to like for this is the Antipodean Opaleye. Simply because that one sounds like it can by mystical and strikeing with pearl like scales and muticolored eyes, along with red fire. That, and it's said to be one of the lest agressive types and rarely killing other then for food reasons, so makeing it one of the easyest to train and haveing one of those around (or eny of them for that matter without getting eaten/killed.) I thought would be cool.

Merpeople are my favorite~ I've always been fond of mermaids for as long as I can remember, however, Harry Potter puts the icing on the cake for me, by turning them into 'beasts' as they reject the full being status. I find this fascinating. It even has ties to sirens, another big love of mine. The types and different breeds, as you may, make this species even more fascinating for me.~

The Basilisk has to be my favorite. I had watched the movie first. I absolutely love sea monsters of any kind and this one definitely caught my eye. I not only love harry potter but all the creatures that were added into it. When I saw this gigantic beast my eyes lit up. It was massive, green, scaly, wicked fangs, and beautiful yet deadly eyes. They did a marvelous job with keeping it a secret and adding clues into the movie how spiders are afraid of it and were running away from the Castle. I'm not a huge fan of snakes but monsters, especially sea monsters are awesome and this one takes the cake. It's huge and I love how it can live for thousands of years unnoticed. I love how not only Medusa's eyes can petrify anything for life but even the eyes of the basilisk!. I also like the fact if you indirectly look at it you are only "stunned" and potion can free you of it's curse. Sadly the movie was much better portraying the creature than the book but i love it no matter what! Sea Monsters For Life!

The Nundu. C: A dragon can be subdued by 10 wizards, a Nundu takes 100 ... that's powerful stuff there! Plus looks like a leopard, breathes poisonous gas and is gigantic but still moves silently! Also with a 5X classification from the Ministry it's one of the most dangerous creatures ever, danger is exciting, why else would people become Dragon tamers? Also, I'm channeling my inner Hagrid here, they "may just be misun'erstood, poor beastie can' 'elp being bigger th'n a house and 'avin' killer breath, jus' the way he wuz made the li'l darlin'."

Well, Thestrals are my favorites, though they aren't included in the book? Well, in the link you provided, they are not listed. However, on the same wiki, on the Thestral page, ( harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/The… ) they are listed as appearing in the book. So I don't know if they count.

I was into the dragons not because they're dragons necessarily. I really was always interested in the Swedish Short-Snout and the Chinese Fireball, because while they were two of the dragons revealed for the four to fight in the Goblet of Fire, in the movie you didn't even get to see their miniature versions. More than anything I had a lot of questions about the dragons that were never actually seen, because the Hungarian Horntail was Harry's dragon so it took all the spotlight until it died. I don't know if I'd say it was my /favorite/ because the dragons never had a real chance to be a favorite but I think if I learned more about them they would be. A general favorite out of the ones I know more about, I'd say the Hippogriff because I always wanted to have one, fly on it, etc. and because I like their very formal techniques, how they bow and you have to have manners and be polite and mature around them, I really always enjoyed Hippogriffs and thought they would be wonderful company. c: <3

The Thestral's hands down. They were very interesting and eye catching while I was reading the books. I thought they would look a lot different when they went into the movie, but hey they were still awesome. The concept of supposedly dark and spooky creatures being rather gentle was what really attracted me to them.

My favourite beast from the Harry Potter world would be any of the Winged Horses, especially the Thestral breed, because I can still remember how surprised I was when I found out that it was the Thestrals that pulled the carriages to Hogwarts the first time I read 'Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix', and it still makes me feel sad that they can only be seen by people who have seen death and thus are such misunderstood creatures. They surely have left a lasting impression on me.

I like the Chizpurfle. I know many would overlook this little beasty as it seems rather small meek and unimpressive but in my opinion it is one powerful creature! I find it fascinating such a tiny little guy like the Chizpurfle could be so troublesome! I mean this guy eats magical items how fascinating is that? There are many big fantastic beasts out there. But this little beast I feel is the greatest and most impressive of all.

My favorite is the Phoenix, it's a badass bird man. With the cure-all tears, the phoenix song, the I CAN CARRY THE WORLD ON MY TAIL, leaving messages in feathers, the fact it is super hard to tame, and plus they transport in the best way possible. xD

Jobberknoll - Though you never learn to much of them, I love the concept that it is mute till death. When it dies it lets out a screech of everything it had ever heard in its life time. . . Sort of morbid but I love it.

I have many favorite creatures but I just fell in love with the basilisk. I love the detail that they used in the movie when it comes to bringing the creature to life and I liked the idea behind the basilisk. Like the plot with how the venom works and was used to destroy the journal and just how the basilisk acted so true to a snake. Just everything about it I love because they put specific details in to make it so real which just makes me go "omg so cool!" and the animal lover/zoologist in me just spazz.
