I was extremely hesitant to let Kyler rename you which was why I originally screened the name so closely. I really adore the name Seafoam for you because if fits with your colour scheme and it was obviously beachy. I personally requested that if Ky change your name it also obviously related to the beach and I actually approved of it as a name. I'm sorry I didn't even take in to consideration that you had picked your favorite yourself and how you might feel about the name.Β
I believe Coastal as a name is extremely cute and also fits your colour scheme. While I like both names I also know Ky doesn't really like Seafoam much.

Hey girly. I heard you wanted some convincing to take on a new name. I want to assure you that I didn't just want to rename you anything. I had an extensive talk with your previous owner about your name, and how it was nice that you could picture the ocean and associate your name with the water right off the bat, and she wanted to make sure that was still obvious with a new name. I spent a few hours researching names that would be fitting for you and after gathering a list and narrowing it down, together, your last owner and I decided it was between Tide and Coastal.
Unfortunately half of the time I think of Tide I think of the detergent and fabric softener, and that's unfitting despite your soft, cotton-white mane. Coastal not only immediately reminds you of the ocean, but has a softer feeling than many of the names that were on the list.
I didn't want to be offensive to you in anyway, but I simply don't really like your current name. Seafoam almost seems too commonly used and a little overrated, and I felt something more unique for a unique girl like you would fit you better.
I hope you'll consider taking on this new name, and I promise I would never give you a name I didn't think was perfect for you. <3
