The splashing noises of the small stones do attract something - a something that has exaggerated the splashing noises into the thoughts of someone drowning. She bounces through the grasses and lands majestically on the edge of the stream, hoping that she can be a hero to whatever poor thing is drowning. She is not quick to realize that the splashing was only you and the rocks.

Alarmed by the noise of crushed grass and galloping hooves, I drop all the remaining pebbles in my hand and cannot formulate a cleverer thought than waiting motionless in the hope that whatever is coming in my direction might not notice me. Suddenly, this stomping, untamed Ikeda appears before me like a storm and dashes her head from side to side like she's wildly looking for something that she's failing to see and that I'm failing to figure out. Then her glance lands on me (and on the bunch of dropped stones not far from my feet) and she looks plainly disappointed. She's already turning back to the way she came from when I stutter at her: "Whoa, whoa, wait! I... ah... I think I startled you and I... ah... I'm sorry about that, but since you went out of your way to... uh... check on me?, maybe you'd like to travel along with me a little farther... Out of the Northern Plains, that is..."
Like I wasn't watching The Flash when I saw this. This is genius, Cao, follow your temptations! Not to mention the coincidences that made this happen XD
