As you lay in the crevasse, trying desperately to free yourself before the mask can fall, the shadows that remain in the piercing light of the sun's morning rays begin to coalesce, and are drawn inexplicably to the mask. You watch (in horror or in curiosity? you're not sure) as the shadows suddenly reach out and nudge the mask; briefly exposing themselves to the colours of the dawn. The mask sticks to the shadows, which have now been stained by the sun, and the shadows do not disappear. Instead, you see a distinct body forming out of them. The mask acts as a face, and it's now looking directly at you, confused by your situation.
