In the light of a dimly lit room, an Avis sits atop a royal pillow on the far wall, looking like a caged tiger as he waits for more fools to bring him gifts of their loyalty in hopes of gaining his trust. Those fools. The tall doors to the vast and stereotypically Asian room swing open as another being strides confidently in, looking far stranger than the previous followers. She steps into the natural glow of the skylight and kneels before the avis. “Hail, Slytherin highness! I request to be in your royal presence this morning, for I have an offering of my loyalty. I have used the finest of my magic ability to conjure up an illusion worthy enough to be gazed upon by your malevolent eyes. It is a gift to you, my lord! I hope that it pleases you.” The new comer rises and takes a step back, sighing deeply. Lowering her head, she begins.

As the lights flicker back on, the girl stands where she was, panting. The room was silent, waiting for the Avis to respond.

"Now aren't you beautiful," I coo to the Avis, "Such an intelligent gaze, are you sure you want to go home with those others? They don't seem quite pure enough for you. If you came with me, you could rule over the others I own, we could own them together."
I kneel down to look him in the eye, "Or you could choose one of those nasty Mudbloods that's vying for your attention and affection. I may be a Ravenclaw but my blood is as pure as any Slytherin's. As pure as yours?"
Standing up, I start walking away. "Just remember, Ravenclaws are smart, unlike the idiots that sometimes manage to dirty the Slytherin name."

Luna walks timidly to the avis.
"Hello little one," she says quietly. "I'm not going to hurt you."
She reaches out to touch the avis, but stops herself, afraid she might scare it off.
"You really are beautiful,"she says, bringing her arm back to her side, "But I'm sure you already knew that."
She smiled to herself. She knew this avis would never chose her, as timid as she was, for it's new owner, but she loved it all the same.

Oh the places I would take you. We could go flying. I could even take you to hogwarts, huh? You want to go there? I can take you there. You can fly around the towers, spread your giant wings. Ooh...such a magnificent creature! Proud, regal...those eyes SHINE with intelligence! The green, the white, and the black all combine to make such a intimidating figure...I like that. Why, I've never seen such a beauty! I just happened to be wandering along, minding my own business, when all of a sudden I saw you in my path! And you are a sight to behold! Such a pure and elegant avis, your silver eyes glow against the rich and powerful green of your body. The scarf hanging around your neck shows the obvious power and prowess of your nature. Slytherin was always the most interesting and deep of the various Hogwarts houses, producing vivid and creative characters and personalities not to be beaten by the others.
