He waited. Then looked at her, as he always did. At the start of every day. School sucked to him, he hated it. Yet he came every day, he would return to school. To see her. He loved her, maybe not at first sight, but more than he’s ever loved anyone.
She waited. Then she saw him look at her, as she always did. At the start of every day. She hated school, she wasn’t liked by many. And she didn’t like them. Yet she was there every day, she would return to school. To see him. She loved him, maybe not at first sight, but more than she’s ever loved anyone.
They waited. They saw each other, just like they did every day. They attended just to see each other. They were in love, maybe not at first sight, but more in loved than any couple there. They would spend every day with each other, neither wishing to part. As if their hearts would snap at the strain of being apart from their soulmate. When they part physically, their minds connect. Their thoughts filled with memories together, their ears sang with each other’s words. Their eyes re-seeing each other’s faces. Their skin tingled, longing to feel each other’s touch.
…
He waited, as always, for that time of the day. His phone in hand he smiled bright at the loving text he got every day.
She got home, phone in hand. Thinking about he who waited. She smiled brightly at the loving text she was given as a reply.
They waited for each other. For that time of the day. Phones in hand. Smiling at the loving text they greet each other with. Those minutes turned into hours, not all text even needed to be loving, they knew they were in love and they loved they could talk like best friends as well as lovers.
…
He was there; he had waited years for this. He waited with her, as he watched her walk to him. He stared at her; he felt his heart flutter as if it would jump out to join with hers, where it belonged.
She saw him there; she had waited years for this. She waited with him; she looked at him as he watched her walk to him. She stared at him; she felt her heart flutter as if it would jump out to join with his, where it belonged.
They were there, together. They had waited years for this. They waited together; they looked at each other as she walked to him. Their hearts fluttered in their chests as if they would jump out to join the other, where they belonged.
…
She waited, he waited. They had waited for years. And their wait was worth it. Their wait was always worth it. They don’t have to wait anymore. They are forever.
If you love someone and you have and always wait for them, tell them. Let the waits be worth it, let your love be worth waiting for.
