Description
Some of you may know my poor old kitty passed away recently. I miss her dearly, and felt it was only right to draw her a tribute for the twenty-one years she spent with me.This is a small collection of my memories with her and it's a very personal thing to me, so please no harsh critics.
EDIT: Thanks so much for the DD and so many sweet comments on a subject that is obviously very sensitive to me. I really appreciate it.

I have to tell you this choked me up. I think it is truly beautiful. ^_^ I am planning on making a painting of my own 24yr old cat. She is still with us tho. ^_^

I sympathize, my grandma's dog Max passed away 2 years ago. He was almost as old as I am (I was 18 at the time) and I can remember carrying him around as a puppy when I was one myself and not much bigger. He was my buddy. I still miss him, but I'm glad he's not in pain anymore - no one can convince me that the powers that be doesn't have a place for our four-legged family members

An awfully sad but truly beautiful picture. As the owner of eight beloved cats, I can understand the love you had for your furry friend completely and I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. But this picture is stunning. The simple lines and colour palette create effect, and the skill shines through with the perfect expressions, composition and line work. It reminds me of my dog, he was born 5 days after me and we did everything together,
he caught rabies when I was 12 and my father forced me to put him down because the
vet was too far from us. I miss him so much,

Pets are like family members, and their loss is no less painful than a human relative. Growing up, my cat showed up on my doorstep when I was 8 and died when I was 24. He was my constant companion through school years, moves, life changes, friendships and loves. I think pets often outlast human relationships. And their loss hurts just much. I think this is a lovely way to pay tribute, and your warm colors feel like a hug all over. Thank you for sharing it with us.

This made me cry as my cat is sitting in my lap. She's not looking too good, but I love her with all my heart, anyway. I absolutely love this picture. It expresses the feelings very well. Somehow, in her face, I can see pain and sadness, but with happiness mixed in there. That's a very hard expression to get with a drawing!! TTwTT
