Loss Of A Friend

You were once so sweet,
Such a great person,
So pure, and simple,
And now your not.

We enjoyed so much,
All of us,
Including our old friend.
Things change though, right?

So what to do?
Go back to the way it was?
Sure, if we could.
But we cant.

So we, me and him,
Don’t have much choice,
Because everything’s changed.
Even me.

So you go your way,
And we’ll go ours,
Its obvious. You’re sidetracked.
We’re insignificant, trivial people.

I’m going now, I don’t know about him.
So its up to you,
To find someone, like us, who once cared.
But we were blown off.

I told you that once,
That I hate being blown off.
And you told me you loved me.
Then blew me off.

But one more thing,
I hope this poem made sense,
I hope you keep it, and cherish it,
Because maybe you’ll learn.

That friend, though so far away,
They don’t come and go,
You have to earn them, or push them away,
And you did both.

So goodbye honey,
That girl I… We knew.
Because I knew the old you.
And I miss that person.
