Shoreline Sunrise

Night turns to day, and as it does I watch. I watch because one day it’ll all be gone, it’ll all be changed. Things are always changing, sun moving across sky, people lives, events and progression. It all changes and its amazing. So as the big orange orb begins to float in the sea, before awakening the world, the people. Changing from sleep to slavery. In one hour the world moans one giant moan, people awaken and it becomes active. The difference in a few hours is incredible…

I’m sat on some rocks; the sea is out there, a few metres away. I can hear it slapping the rocks lightly; the sea is not so rough in these early hours. There are few people around and I am alone with myself. No noise, simply tranquillity and peace, simply and pure. Things are most simple here, at this early hour, no pressure nor stress. The world is as pure as the day it was born here.

So here I sit, the paper on my lap as I scribble down these insignificant words in order to explain myself to myself. A few years ago my future was to have fun but everyday as I grow older, every day I find myself realizing I need different varied things to survive, to prosper. I struggle to work, not because I’m handicapped, but because I’m lazy, that’s all…No drive to succeed; yet I have everything in life.

I suppose that’ll change too, like the world I’ll never be the same as I am right now, and someday I’ll lose it all, all I have now, my holidays I’m so ungrateful for, my material items…but then I don’t need those, I don’t want those, I’d give them up for someone special. Life doesn’t want me to have that though, I doubt it ever will.
