Description
Tortured SoulThe night closes in earlier, now.
Darkness covers our familiar lands.
Like a sweeping cloud of depression,
It pushes me down.
No longer can my soul breathe the warm air,
Hold that air, and be heated by it.
Instead it merely grasps it for a quick second,
Grasping at what it needs, before it is frozen.
Quickly releasing the chill,
Then returning to the dark.
My soul lost now, in the darkness.
Its unpredictable, and my soul doesnβt like it.
Itβs a journey to the light,
Too many months till the darkness weakens its grasp.
Too few hours of light,
More time for insecurity and fear.
