Ima is a SkyWing/NightWing hybrid whose egg was animus touched by a mysterious IceWing. When she hatched, her mother knew everything was wrong with her, starting off with the fact that she had no wings. Ima was abandoned soon after she hatched, not because of hatred, but for her safety. Ima was then found by an old NightWing by the name of Nix, who took in Ima as if she was his own. He tried many times to search for Ima's parents, but no one knew that an egg had been cursed. Nix never mentioned the tribes to Ima to keep her from being snatched by greedy dragons who would kill to have the stone embeded into her chest, the source of her powers and life. And yet Ima learns nothing of her powers, but when she sneaks off and follows Nix one day, she learns that she's cursed and belongs nowhere.

Sadly, Nix dies exactly ten years after discovering Ima, despite Ima's attampts to save him. Ima buries Nix under an old tree and journies off into unknown lands, determined to find the one who cursed her. Instead, she comes across SkyWings, and instantly becomes fascinated with their flying skills. For months, she stays hidden and studies them, along with the SandWings, RainWings, and MudWings. But when she stumbles upon a wounded IceWing, she decides to help her. Ima eventually heals the IceWing, who she comes to know as Frostbite. Like every love story, they eventually fall in love, and Frostbite takes Ima back to his homelands. It is here where Ima runs into the Animus IceWing that cursed her egg, Nora. Nora pleads guilty to cursing her, but she claims that her mother, a SkyWing, wanted it.

"What you have isn't a curse, young one," Nora explains, "but a gift. You are Ima, the gifted one."

Knowing the truth, Ima sets back off to the SkyWings, refusing to let Frostbite come with. She goes face-to-face with the queen, Queen Aburn (Queen Scarlet's mother) and learns that is was she who killed her mother. Outraged, Ima threatens to take Aburn's throne, only to be laughed at and thrown into jail to wait for her death. With burning determination, Ima escapes and saves a young SkyWing from Queen Aburn's grasp. But it costs her her life.

Ima's soul and powers still remained after her death, and it is Ima's soul that watches over young dragonets, protecting them until their time. It is also her soul that leads other dragon's to the stars when they pass, and she earns the name "Soulwatcher" after stories of her spread.

Ima may even be watching you...

Ima actually is a character from a novel that I am writing, and she's known as "The Soulwatcher" in it. Don't want to give too much away
