NEW REF:yep she needed a new one. Not much changed about her except that she no longer has the stripes on her back legs and her mouth colors changed and I added a few accessories. I think I've been working on this since Monday; on and off, but I really love how it came out. c:

• Her canine features are her paw pads, sharp teeth and her spinal anatomy; she isn't as hunched as a real raccoon would be.
• Her pawpads glow in the dark.
• Her tail is about as long as her body
• Her hair can be worn two different ways; Either as a mohawk or short & fringed. And also can be three different colors- Either hot redish/pink, electric blue or neon green.

A few anatomy issues.
this looks more dog-like than raccoon-like. Raccoons and dogs both have way thinner tails (especially raccoons) raccoons have shorter, differently shaped muzzles.
Also, when an animal opens its mouth, unless it's snarling, the top teeth will not show.
it looks as if you took a dog head, put it on a thin raccoon body, and gave it a persian cat tail. Its a common misconception that raccoons have huge tails, but i happen to have one right next to me and her tail is wayyy thinner than her body.

She is part dog for the record, but I totally see what you're saying. And the teeth thing will be helpful for the future.
I need to reference anatomy more, most of the time I just do stuff free-handed and from the mind. Critiques like this always help me learn for the better.

and i actually found out that you always always /always/ get half of your DNA from each of your parents
fOR EXAMPLE
if a blonde lab and a black lab breed and have puppies, and one of the puppies is black with a few blonde specks thAT DOES NOT MEAN IT HAS MORE OF THE BLACK LAB'S DNA it just has more of it's DNA for fur color
you always get 50% of your DNA from both parents even if some of the traits aren't visible
so that means if spunky's 90% raccoon and 10% canine then both of her parents had to have been raccoons, but one of them had an ancestor who was a dog
