Wheeeeeee this one is so easy to draw- and he's under-appreciated, which I find sad. In any case, I think i've met my weekly [or biweekly, I lose track of time] quota for obligatory fanart.Still no backgrounds, I'm lame- but hey look, tetris in the background! Look its not as boring!! ..In retrospect I think i hastily added that because of his oh so simple character design. Like really, he's mostly white.
As for his expression..well, I guess you can say it's a look of nostalgia. I can't help but think of those classic brick handhelds every time I glance at those fancy new DSs [they ARE pretty neat though].

Okay okay, under appreciated IN MY OPINION, but lets be fair, the poor guy [rat..mouse..rodent..] doesn't get a lot of fan art, that I've seen. Let's face it, if you're not Mayhem or Renard, you get locked in the closet of shame, until an album with your face on it comes out and you get a week of love. THEN ITS BACK TO THE TITS AND THE FOX.
But really, I have no idea, maybe he's in third place. I just notice things :]

Nah, man. I was sayin that cause, there should more fans for him(persona or what the fuck ever). And does seem to be the case. TITS/FOX OR GTFO. In all serious, mayhem is my least fav. More about Negaren,K2, The Quennstons, klippa, azrael,and TQBF. Only like the Sharktits ep and "Real fucking monster" from Mayhem. ( I have basically all of his main persona's, but I've seen he has ones i don't even know about.)

Yeh yeh, I see what yer saying..I think. Its not a matter of popularity [ok yeh, well it is] but I think when people say they like a certain alias or find them more appealing than others, its hopefully off the basis of them as a WHOLE. Like, both their character design AND their music. If people judge them based on one or the other, that's their call- but really now. It's silly. It's... not even something worth putting too much thought into, its just music and characters.

I Fully agree. I'd love to see back stories on all of them. And looking through my 'pod just noticed there's no Renard song that feats. Mayhem or viceversa. Only VS tracks. Maybe they hate each other! OH NOES! haha
Sorry for rambling on about this stuff. When i'm bored (Read: not doing my work) i think of little stories to accompany the songs.

Its alright, i do the same. I often contemplate things that really are better left alone- From what I gather, Renard isn't so much into the idea of providing back stories or personalities to his plethora of aliases, they simply represent the music on a physical level- and hey that's totally up to him. I can only hope that if people speculate on these characters, he doesn't get too upset.
Frankly I could spend more time than it is healthy to sit and wonder what they'd be like- and this accounts for any number of personality-less characters by a multitude of authors and sources, but it's always up to the owner anyway, so I'd rather enjoy them as they are.

Oh yes, for sure. Still, the question as to how they would act is always there- just sort of nags. Because I love character development and interaction. It's a pity such great designs go without equally great threshed out personalities, but I guess it leaves more to the imagination. And that's brilliant, if it was intended.
