Description
Bald eagles are serious looking birds. 8IMy new head-canon is that Alfred would have one as a pet and that it has been putting up with him since 1782. He'd make dumb faces at it because it's all srs bizness all the time. Probably feed it hamburgers. It's a beautiful relationship.
IDK I drew this at 2 am.
Hetalia (c) Himaruya Hidekaz, not me. If it WAS me, I'd make an India character and whenever he/she would show up, there'd be an epic Bollywood dance number. Wow I really want that to happen now.

I personally have a head canon that Alfred took part in an eagle raising program back in the 70's. He'd bring up an eagle chick and let it go. I figure China is currently doing the same with pandas.

I saw one flying overhead while driving home and almost ran off the road trying to scope it out. I love those beautiful birds.

Oh sheesh! xD I've never seen one in the wild, I've only seen one in zoos! In fact, I just saw one last weekend...ahah. It would be amazing to see them in a natural habitat, though. They are amazing birds.

You should come see them where I live in the northern Rocky Mountain area. I've seen many bald eagles in the wild: flying way above us, sitting on tree branches, dipping down to snatch a fish out of the water, a pair of them performing a mating dance in the air, and once, I saw one fly 50 feet in front of me when while driving through the Coeur d'Alene area (we wouldn't have hit it as it was high enough above the road, but it's wings were so large that it could have brushed the top of our car even though it was at least 10 feet above the road).

That sounds breathtakiiing! *___*
I live in southern California so I'm not so lucky in that respect! I see hawks and other birds once in a while but ahhh bald eagles really take the cake.

Well, where I live in Idaho, there's plenty of lakes and rivers teeming with fish (it's been said that Idaho is a fisherman's paradise...or is it angler's paradise?), so it's the perfect place for bald eagles to live (since a lot of their diet is fish). You could visit! The place where I saw the ones on the branches and doing the mating dance was in Yellowstone Park. So you could visit a national park AND possibly see some wonderful animals like bison, bears, big horn sheep and bald eagles...and some elk too (I just realized all those animals started with B XD)

One of my bucket-list goals is to visit each state and I haven't been to Idaho yet so it's definitely on my list! It really sounds like a beautiful state. It seems unfair that all my life I only equated it with potatoes.....
I have a weird love for bison so getting another chance to see them would be awesome, haha~

Well, "technically" Yellowstone is in Wyoming, but we have West Yellowstone and you can enter the park through our state. Also, you can see a good number of those animals in Island Park and the Targhee National Forest which blends right into Yellowstone (the only thing they've got that we don't is a road that shows you all the hot pots...we have hot springs and just as many trees/plants as they do in addition to the same kinds of animals). There's also the Panhandle area (where Coure d'Alene is). That area has some of the most beautiful lakes and rivers I've ever seen! It's okay that you only think of potatoes. We're proud of our potatoes and they make up a huge part of our economy and culture (we even have "Spud Festivals" XD). We're also called the Gem State, which is another thing people don't know...so many precious stones and metals here...
They're pretty big here too. Some of them were as big as my friends car and it was a Jeep! (granted one of the smaller Jeeps, but still...)

Yeah that's true, when I think of Yellowstone I think of Wyoming but I am not surprised it's so big that it spills into Idaho as well.
All this talk of Idaho makes me want to visit sooner rather than later! 8D
I've seen bison in San Francisco of all places, but there's a big park there called Golden Gate Park and there's an area where some bison roam. It's not a HUGE area but I guess big enough for them to wander. I can believe they can get that big! Such large animals. XD

You should totally come visit! ^_^
I'll have to visit that park next time I come to California. Yes, they're huge and they're not tame or docile so you should never get out of your car and approach one. Many people have been gored here b/c they did that.

lol! America has a bald eagle in my head-canon, too! Her name's Liberty (Libby for short), and yeah, I envision her to be a lot more serious than America, too. I LOVE America's face right here.
