You don't seem to understand:
Richtofen is a German. There's no way you're able to deny that. He is a member of the Nazi party, and he possesses the accent of a German. Thus, he pronounces the letter "w" like he would the letter "v". It's Wunderwaffe DG-2. Look it up.
