Wowowowowowow....this was alotta work LOL but damn I'm glad I took the whole month to do it and really refine it.This is definately one of those pieces that I can say has changed me as an artist and colourist. I've learnt so much just from this one piece. I've never attempted a piece of this magnetude and complexity before but what a rush to finally get it done
. So yeah, before I forget, this is my entry to [link] Mark Brook's Age of Apocalypse Compo [link] Basically colouring in his lineart and then other peeps can vote who's is the best. So, if ya'll like mine then pleeeeeeease vote me meh dunno when the voting will be open so spose you'll have to keep an eye out on his page. Have to say I'm esspecially proud of the background cos they've never been my strong point when colouring. Much more confident about them now
and I'll have to try another big piece like this again.But ya, Enjoy

You really deserve to win...your piece has the best color harmony ive seen. My only critic, if I may, would be to soften the cell-shading on the foreground to more degrade...theyre looking a bit too anime style

yeah, i mean, i'd say you did a good job with the cell shading. but wasn't the contest about trying to get a job oportunity at marvel or something like that? if that's so, i dont think marvel editors or readers would be pleased with that kind of coloring, thats why i pointed it out...

Not that I know of. Far as I know it was just a contest out of fun with some comic and art related prizes. If it leads to a job opportunity then awesome but I haven't heard the like.
And well, it isn't conventional, but I have seen cell shaded art in titles like Sentinel, Spider-Man Loves Mary-Jane even Ultimate X-Men once so I wouldn't rule it out completely

definitely a fave, but what happened to gambit? facial shadow is weird.
i like the light scheme, specially the one around magneto. this really made it stand out for me out of the whole lot.

Wow! What an awesome coloring job! I love the detail and you've obviously put a lot of hard work into this. What really amazed me are all the flashes and glows you've got in the pic. Also, you've got the best background out of anyone. The sky is really pretty the way the purple blends in with the yellow (and those awesome-looking clouds!), I love the shimmering windows and grainy frames of the buildings, and you had the best looking watertower!
Needless to say, I am very impressed by your pic. I voted for you, and I wish you the best of luck in the contest!

What's crazy is I done the background in two days over a period of like 12 hours whereas the characters took up most of the month lol. Think it's cos I went into overdrive to make sure I was done in time. But thanks for voting for me
