Wowowowowowow....this was alotta work LOL but damn I'm glad I took the whole month to do it and really refine it.This is definately one of those pieces that I can say has changed me as an artist and colourist. I've learnt so much just from this one piece. I've never attempted a piece of this magnetude and complexity before but what a rush to finally get it done
. So yeah, before I forget, this is my entry to [link] Mark Brook's Age of Apocalypse Compo [link] Basically colouring in his lineart and then other peeps can vote who's is the best. So, if ya'll like mine then pleeeeeeease vote me meh dunno when the voting will be open so spose you'll have to keep an eye out on his page. Have to say I'm esspecially proud of the background cos they've never been my strong point when colouring. Much more confident about them now
and I'll have to try another big piece like this again.But ya, Enjoy

Well, now that is mighty fine. This is the first I've seen, and there are some awesome renditions here, that makes me feel as if I need to back away from my screen because these guys are going to come out of it! I'm not through looking yet-- but I'm hugely impressed. You rock details. Period.

That is such a great compliment to me cos I've never been confident with my backgrounds and I wasn't sure if I'd do as a good a job as I thought I'd done on the character, but im happy with how it turned out

27) Spydaman
This reminds me of the colouring styles from the "dreamwave transformers comics" series. Very smooth texturing and alot of play on light and shadows. The toning is also perfect. Three thumbs up. Are you already working in the comics industry?

10) Sacking Jimmy:
This piece has a different tone to it. It truly stands out from the rest. Great Vision and surreal touch to it. There is a overtone and slightly greenish hue that makes the atmosphere jump out at you, it reminds us of the bleak dystopian AoA landscape.
26) Odomirr
While I love the toning styles that are constant with many of the entries, this piece really stood out because it emoted a totally different feel. This colour job has a kooky plastic feel to it, to it's detractors it might look flat, however I think that this colour job really brought out the lines and made them stronger. A very unique hybrid of old school comic styles (Jim Lee Xmen era) coupled with an animated flick feel. Great piece.
8) Lady Cybercat
There is a certain richness and depth to this piece. Brilliant sense of visual complexity and shading. It makes the image pop out to greet you. I also like the treatment done to the buildings and the careful attention paid to the sky / clouds. Wonderful work.

I honestly don't know the name of that ice/crystal dude in the top left, but yours was the best version of him I've seen in the contest.

this is really good, what i like about this is how the outline is not as harsh as it is in the other entries. Makes it soft and easier to look at each characters.
