Description
An extension of [link] the first draft of dA v6, Project Sleek -This was meant to illustrate the
menu in a few different modes. The final version of v6 is doing this in a completely different way, treating functionality like this as an application unto itself rather than the way you see it here. But it should give an insight in to the desire to bring forth...
A clear and easy interface for selecting wallpaper for your computer. Something millions of people visit deviantART for. A real home for the skinning community at deviantART where people who enjoy skinning their applications (still!) have direct access to the folks who enjoy making application skins in a neat and organized way. Ultimately this allows for the ability to customize what apps you do or don't have installed and see skins that you have a use for! Again, v6 sleek is handling this in a different way once the "Desktop" application launches. Lastly this would have evolved in to the FIND ARTISTS concept. But we've got grander plans at this point

what's wrong with the 50x50 avatars? Many deviants have spent the time to make their perfect 50x50 so what value is there in changing the avatars now?

So you can make a perfect 80x80 one.

eh, I think 50x50 has worked for dA this far... no reason to fix something that isn't broken. It's big enough to allow you to be unique but small enough that it won't bog down dA to support all of them. Not that 20 extra dimensions is really that big of a difference, but 80x80 wouldn't fit nicely at the top of the screen like the 50x50 does.

Very interesting I never thought of that, but making it so you only see what you need, as far as skins and customization goes is a very efficient step into the future. Congrats.

Now that's just pure awesome
I always thought of something like that more different and complicated.
But the idea of putting the menu inside of the search menu makes it a lot better.
I'd have to design something like that or i'll never forgive myself

NOW I will say that I do like the idea of the search box, with all of the differant searches, but kept to just one box with just differant selections I think it will make finding an image or someones art much easier. but this is just the voice of one person here, and agian I would like to try it out first before it would be official.

Oh, I like how it defaults to the current resolution. That is pure genius. And multiple search criteria... nice, nice... Plus the drop-down being part of the actual search box is going to be really cool. What great ideas you all have come up with! I can't wait!
