...the Echidna? Or Hedgehog? ._. She looks more like a echidna, I guess. Well, yeah, it's not hard to say why she's the best among other new characters in Sonic Boom. Perci really looks like a Sonic character while the others are more like regular cartoon animals. Also I like that she's taller than Sonic & co (except Knuckles, of course) in game
I hope she appears in the show)

Her species I and others figured out is a Percival's spiny mouse. A rodent found in many places.

That's unexpectedly o_o Maybe, but she has no visible ears (they can be hidden under a scarf, though) and she has a large spikes (it's looks like spikes). Interesting theory anyway.
