Rinoa HeartillyFinal Fantasy VIII
This is the new version of my Rinoa next to 'Pichipichi Rinoa Heartilly' [link] that I mentioned before. Took me a long time to finish this. I want it to be perfect as much as possible, making it my best female artwork ever. Anyways, this is also the first time I tried on digital inking. The drawing is inked on paper but I didn't like the scanned result in 600 dpi with pixelated lines and all, and so I did the craziest thing of using the polygonal lasso tool in replacing all the lines (didn't include the details on the coat or whatever you call it... it's a pain in the rear y'know). This is my favorite artwork so far. I still hope I can make more even if I have a busy schedule this year.

Nice colors and her position is great. Nice shading and tecture, however, Rinoa's hair seems to be lacking in the shading. Other than that, nice work.

about her hair, well, i don't really know what to do with the hair.
i'm only using a mouse to color so i can't make nice highligts to the hair.

hmmm... it's hard. because the base color of the hair is already dark and if i put on darker colors, then the details or the lines willl no longer be seen.
