I know that super sculpey is what I need, simply hard to find in Ukraine, even ordered online may take a century to get here. Although I wanna get maximum out of plasticine, there are some buggers (hope that is not very bad word?) ho need to be calmed down a bit)
Your encouragement is very appreciated, thank you!

The place were you got plastiline might be able to special order it and it might get there quicker, naw buggers a pretty mild word.maybe when they order it try to get a large quantity. No problem bud I hope this in some way helps.

Looks awesome man. Love the proportions and detailing. What are you using for the eye there? The way it's hilighting makes him seem to be cutting his eye at the viewer...nice.

Wow!! Thank You! I was thinking about casting this peice and painting it. I tryed polyester resin on a couple of test peices and that stuff stinks to high heaven, needless to say I won't be casting in that stuff wheeeeew!!I was wondering when you paint your resin peices do you use a special paint or just acrylics and Do certain resins accept paint better than others?
Thanks again bud,
Lonnie

Hey Lonnie,
You bet...I really would love to see that cast and painted..
Poly-Tek makes an incredible resin called EZ Flo 60
It's odorless, but you still want some ventilation.
It's really easy to use and it sets up really quick.
You do need to do silicone molds for it though.
As far as accepting paint, sometimes I'll lay down a primer gray before applying acrylic paint.
Otherwise if you use dishwashing liquid and water along with a scoth-brite pad that gets some of that shiny oily surface knocked down.
Good luck...
Ps. If you can't find it near you, sculpture depot www.sculpturedepot sells the polytek products.

Ive been thinking about doing something similar and then customizing the resin casts with different armour and helmets made from apoxie,
this sculpt would be perfect for that.
