A lot of my friends are really stoked for Zootopia, but I keep asking the same thing: WHERE ARE THE REPTILES. I decide to take it upon myself to draw what it might look like!As far as I've been told from what I've seen and some sources online, reptiles exist within the world of the film but won't actually be in it. Shame! But ah well, still looks cute anyway.
There's also a lack of amphibians, birds, and sea critters so I might continue doing this as a painting/character design exercise if I get the time.Β

I guess, there are also no Arthropods? Arthropods are treated particularly racist way in any movies. For example in any science fiction, alien race based on arthropods must be evil while humanoids are usually good. When we find real aliens and they will be similar to arthropods, we will be ashamed for all these movies

In the first trailer they said "There are mammals from all over the globe" So that might explain a bit why they are no reptiles/amphibians/birds/fishes. I think it's because the biology of these are slightly different to mammals, also the characteristics and stuff. I could imagine that maybe some character in the movie has got a lizard for a pet that then acts like a dog or cat.
