Continuing the theme of ancient Roman steampunk, (and after listening to the Twilight Histories podcast 'Rome Industrial') I present to you some pixel roman soldiers. Here we have a standard Legionary, an Ingeniarius (engineer) and a Ignisglio, my word for rifleman. Yes, an ancient Roman rifleman. This is all pixelart (meaning I used pixels with no anti-aliasing) except the background.

For any of you firearms history dudes, I put my Ignisglio's powder stores on those funny arm pockets. If you try it out now you can quite easily reach your forearms while balancing your imaginary rifle.
