.. etc. XDD; but yeah um. Tigerstar. Killing Brindleface. OWOE--

thought the title fit 'cuz it seemed like a "hello, goodbye" moment in the book...

The silver-gray tabby queen crouched low in the tall grasses, smelling the fresh scents. It had been a long time since she had left the camp, stuck in the nursery with her kits and the one she had taken care of.

Her ears twitched. She didn't mind that Cloudtail was a warrior, or that Ashpaw and Fernpaw were out of the nursery and training. She missed the comforts of kits beside her, the warmth of their fragile bodies.

She shook her head.

Brindleface, now would not be the time to space out and forget where you are, she thought, poking her broad, speckled face out. Her leaf-green eyes focused on a slight movement in the undergrowth with raptor precision.

Intent on the kill, Brindleface slipped forward into a hunter's crouch, tail-tip flicking back and forth slightly as she balanced on her paws, breathing in light, shallow breaths.

A small whiskered muzzle appeared around a dead leaf, followed by a light brown mouse. The tiny creature looked about before shuffling forward to nibble on a seed. The mouse was completely oblivious to Brindleface's intense stare as she crouched, bunching her muscles to spring.

Before the young warrior could spring, a loud rustling behind her startled both her and the mouse; the mouse fleeing for cover, Brindleface engulfed within the shadow of a large creature behind her.

Slowly, she turned around. Her heartbeat picked up as she stared into the vengeful amber eyes. She took in the broad shoulders, the dark tabby stripes that ripped across his pelt, and she finally stared back at the burning gaze.

"T-Tigerstar!" Brindleface stammered, stepping away from the looming figure. Rage and confusion clashed within her as she backed away and he approached. It appeared as if he were smiling at her, taking his time to follow her.

"Hello, Brindleface. Miss me?" the ShadowClan leader rumbled, his voice like an electric shock through the gentle queen's mind.

She stood still, frozen in fear. She didn't move as he stood in front of her, triumph in his eyes. This was not the cat she had grown up with - not the same warrior that had risked his life for ThunderClan.

Before she opened her mouth to hiss an angry response to him, he had leaped at her, his long, curved claws slicing through her throat, and she staggered. The tabby fell, struggling to breathe, her eyes unfocused. She was stunned beyond belief - first at the thought that he dared enter ThunderClan's territory again, second that she had been so slow to react.

And now it was all ending. Her thoughts were fuzzy as he placed a paw on her shoulder to prevent her from moving. She had no idea what he intended to gain from this, and she stared at him in terror as he leaned down.

Her eyes widened as he whispered in her ear, his breath tickling her fur.

"If you think for one moment that I'll ever forget how ThunderClan accepted a kittypet into ThunderClan, you're dead wrong," he said. "I'm going to take a pack of dogs and completely annihilate ThunderClan and take over the territory. Think of this as me being merciful. At least you won't be ripped to shreds," he added smoothly, leaning away from her as she gasped and shuddered to an eternal stillness.
