Sorry for my late reply... I've been (and will be) super busy due to preparation of my thesis proposal in the near future... I can understand that situation since I know many people leave academic due to similar reason, and many of my friends have jobs totally irrelevant to their degrees. I think it is quite normal to happen like that...

Eh...State of the world. I think, for the career, you have to be willing to give up good pay, benefits, and time off for the love of science. You have to be willing to sacrifice to know you're advancing human knowledge.

Nice! I love how you did the shadow over her eyes from the visor. What is this series going to be? Manga or comic? Animation or game maybe? Or just a series of illustrations? I think the characters look awesome so far so I'm just curious.
