This is just really cute. Of course I never thought of these two together; I always liked Nadine/ Rhonda and and I liked the idea of Wolfgang and Maria, but I am willing to give this couple a chance.

I can't ship him with dudes. But now I've got this headcanon that he loses his virginity to Maria who then sort of takes him under her wing and teaches him how to please the ladies. Also, the only reason Maria comes onto him in the first place is because Wolfgang pisses off Helga one day and so she writes his name/number in a stall in the girls room with a note: "Call for a great time!" or something similar.
So Maria's pissed at her BF and looking for fun and Connie's like: "LOOK AT THIS THE ANSWER TO YOUR PRAYERS." And Maria's all: "Okay, sure, could be cool." And then hooks up with Wolfgang and he's awful at sex and she's like: "Jesus, you're a virgin who can't drive. But you're kind of cute in a stupid way. Let me teach you a thing or two, sweet pea. Just keep this to yourself."
And Wolfgang becomes the school's slut and stress relief for all the gals who then go to class and pretend like they don't know him and he loves it, but there's still the tiniest glimmer of loneliness.....

Yeah, I ship them as well. And your headcanon for them is just how I'd picture it. It's not completely unheard of either, I've seen at least one fic with them (though it's unfinished and I don't think it ever got to the romance) and one pic here.
I also ship Nadine with Sid, kinda. I don't know, her and Peapod Kid don't really interest me that much.

I've never seen a W/N story, but I do know someone drew them together once! I wish I could find the pic...
I also kind of like Nadine/Sid a little. My thing with Peapod Kid/Nadine is largely that I don't find Peapod interesting at all. Whereas, I LOOOOOOOVE Wolfgang and Sid may be kind of a jerk, but he's still interesting.

It is one of those pairs that doesn't make any real sense, but would be really interesting to see! I have a soft spot for them because of my headcanons for Wolfgang (he's a huge ladies' man who is really full of himself, but Nadine doesn't even pay attention to all that and it kind of frustrates him).

i can totally see that happening. I dont think its completely off ether, it kinda fits with the theme of a lot of the romances.. Opposites attract.. Nadine is kind of passive yet isn't afraid to be honest with herself and her interests. While Wolfgang is a type who likes control of a situation and tends to put up a front when cornered. I'm seriously loving these too.

They're my number one "crack" ship (well... I also kind of like Gerald/Sid....) but they really mesh well in my mind. My Wolfgang's a bit... softer than he actually is on the show. Like, he's still a huge asshole, but he secretly kind of likes the fourth graders or at least likes picking on them. He's also a huuuuuge ladies' man in my head.
ALSO. I swear I'm not the first person to draw these two together, but I can't find another pic. But I really remember seeing someone else draw these two. Hm....
