Yea, so it's been quite a bit since my last submission. Like, a long while. My apologies, but between a bunch of different factors including a crappy job, I found it really difficult to draw stuff that I wanted to draw. Admittedly, the 20th Anniversary stuff was somewhat rushed and of not the quality I would have ideally wanted them to be since I had to balance my time on a daily basis.Which led to me wanting to draw Mewtwo again. I wasn't entirely satisfied with what I had for the 20th Anniversary drawing, so I've drawn what I truly envisioned the design of my Mewtwo to be. I'm probably gonna do the same for Aerodactyl and Slowbro, but if ya wanna see other Pokes, including ones from other gens, done in a dreadfully macabre style, you can go ahead and suggest one and I'll get it done within six months lol.

I love how in the shadows of the purple the flecks of lighter colors almost look like stars; like Mewtwo has become a cosmic horror. It also reminds me a bit of those "scary stories to tell in the dark" books.

Go for a wriggling Dunsparce.
Or a creepy, always watching Sudowoodo.
I like how it's face is very dragonish. Mewtwo looks fragile and vulnerable with it's twiggy arms and exposed head support, while still having that bulky torso and fleshy mass of a tail to add some muscle and bone snapping potential to it.
Altogether, this is very nicely done on the creep factor. Be proud.

As is already evident, I'm also a huge Bloodborne/Dark Souls fan. Originally, Mewtwo had a pretty standard design in regards to a more "realistic"-looking Pokemon, but I didn't think that was too interesting. At some point I was thinking of Bloodborne and had the idea, "What if he looked more like the Orphan of Kos?" and that motif stuck with me through the last third of the 20th Ann. series in regards to other redesigns.
I've been working on other redesigns earlier this year for gen 2 and I may end up redoing gen 1 with the new mindset. I've got a Sudowoodo design already but nothing for Dunsparce. I wonder how gooey and unpleasant I could make out of the little snek.
