I have been really interested in the mlp infection au's, I have been seeing everywhere and really wanted to join. I have a lot of favorite AU's but I really wanted one based on cutie marks, their very important in the show and movies and would make an interesting infection story. Also sorry my sheet has typeos! I made this while super tired!

The Cutie Rot| MLP Infection AU | OC & Canon

Day #1| Outbreak

THE INFECTION:
The virus seemed to specifically target any pony that had cutie marks whether young or old no one was safe from the infection. Throughout the stages of virus the ponies with symptoms would often contort or change depending on their cutie mark into disgusting monsters. Those who had plant cutie marks would often grow plants from their own body flowers and vines would grow out of their body. Ponies who had cutie marks dealing with animals would turn into large vicious animals themselves being consumed by the feral instinct to consume everything nearby. Cutie mark set dealt with arts and fashion would often search for other ponies to tear apart to create their own art even in death. With every infected pony a new cutie mark would turn them into something new creating another unique threat for others to deal with. While there was a consistent pattern with cutie marks the inconsistency with what they would turn into was growing by the day. Those who had the cutie mark of magic were rushed to the school of friendship in order to lock themselves inside and try to find a cure. Twilight sparkle and shewed a lockdown creating a magical Dome to keep everyone from leaving or coming in.

Stage #1: Just Infected.
A reddish rash covered the ponies cutie mark, making the skin irritated and sore.
Headaches, fever, and joint pain is common in this stage of infection but the pony is still sane and possibly assumes they have a cold.

Stage #2: Mild Infection.
The body will start to experience "black outs" often leading to violent or crazy behavior, during this time they are able to start infecting others.

Stage #3: Full Infection.
During the final stages of infection the cutie mark and rash began to spread, dulling the fur and clouding their eyes.

OPENING:
A large magic barrier domed over the town, closing every pony inside. The strong stench of blood and rotting flesh filled the air outside, But the silence was even stronger than the smell. There wasn't a single sound, not the laughter of children prancing down excited to get a snack from sugar cube corner, no complaining from the older ponies who didn't understand why apple cider prices had gone up, and most of all no sound coming from the two ponies standing in sugar cube corner. The room was filled to the top with gifts and party decorations, a large cake sat on the counter covered in strawberries while the banner hang above reading “WELCOME CAUSIN” and bright bold letters. Despite the lively decorations neither of the ponies were happy, their hooves were covered in dirt and so were their mains. They barely had enough time to rush inside sugar cube corner before barricading the door, the sirens had gone off with Twilights voice warning residents to stay inside. Not a word was spoken between the two ponies standing in the middle of the room. But in the silence, there came the trotting of hooves, And the clattering of plates. It was mrs cake, who had been on bed rest for many weeks. Her fur was a dingy dull blue, and her eyes were glazed over not picking any real direction to look. Around her mouth and hooves there was dried and stained blood, scaring pinky to run towards her and check for injuries. However as soon as she was close mrs cake stared to vomit chunks of blood and flesh at Pinkes hooves. Inside the pool of red, there was a round clump that resembles a green eye.
