This is looking pretty good. Kind of reminds me of your crayon a little. Some little tips for watercolor in essence you're building up from light to dark so it's a good idea to test where the shine would be a d build around that. I would also reccomend adding more curve style coloring paint brushes are fickle. Oh and if you want I can show you this cute help guide on different style watercolor techniques it shows off the way or most ways you can play with watercolors.
