I hope this isn't too simple, I may draw another one of these.
I also changed Snailpaw's design, I didn't really like the last one.

Snailpaw hunted under the shade of the towering trees, lowered down in a crouch. His gaze was focused on a mouse, who searched for food in the dry grass. Taking a paw-step forward he noticed that the mouse's ears perked, its head lifting before it jumped away. Snailpaw let out a huff as he lifted himself, thinking about what he did wrong. He had followed the proper position, and as far as he knew he didn't cause enough noise to alarm the mouse. A sudden snap interrupted Snailpaw's thoughts, causing him to look ahead through the trees.

The tom yelped as he noticed a dark figure that stood only a few paces away from him. Who were they? Why were they here? Questions raced in his mind as Snailpaw took a step back. "I can see your fear. If you get afraid of an old cat like me then you should definitely be worried of what's ahead," the cat meowed, their voice being soft but rugged. "... What do you mean?" Snailpaw asked, though his words were choked up due to fear. Watching the figure he noticed that they were turning away. "Wait!" Snailpaw called. He stepped forward but the cat was already gone. He looked around quickly for any sign of the cat, but they left no trace. Letting out a faint sigh, he paused to review what just happened.
