No idea if you know this already but in the making of Rayman 3 the game was supposed to be powered by the same engine Rayman 2 did and Ubisoft wanted to stay with it's old R2 design.
Don't know the reason of redesigning Rayman himself though.

They actually wanted keeping his R2 style for R3.
But Ubisoft later decided to give him a new look for the game.

i guess this was before Rayman was redesigned. i guess they had this model in the game and decided to change it, but they forgoy about this clip. i'm just guessing though. anyhow, that is kinda odd, huh?

I noticed that face during the "Gumsi`s Gradeur" cinematic cutscene in Rayman 3...I wonder why they did that...It was cool though!
