Description
===EDIT===Calibrated my monitors and updated with a brighter version much more along the lines of my original render. The whites are much whiter now instead of the dull grey that got uploaded. Rendering time was slightly over 4 days straight.
===END EDIT===
The piece doesn't appear anywhere near as white and vibrant when uploaded as it does inside chaotica when rendered. A little disappointed by this as I spent a good 45 minutes getting the coloring and lighting just right inside chaotica...
Apophysis + Chaotica for rendering.

I thankfully have the opposite happen to me when I'm rendering. My previews are below the quality of what I get when I render them. So I'm more than satisfaction and very delighted at what I do get when I see the render.
But for your piece of mind, it did come out very well, but if you do manage to get it a more perfect white, I would like to see it.

4 days? It took you 4 days to render this out, and you don't even have a printable size? Or you holding on to it for something/somewhere else?
I think I was expecting more white from how you talked about it. But this just looks brighter, which isn't a bad thing. I'm willing to blame my bad eyes. I have to wear glasses to read and I think my prescription has already changed and I got them a few months ago.
Did anyone say that it looked like they were looking up at the top of a tent?

I would honestly like it to be a bit whiter, but then the whites will blow out. That's essentially what I had when rendering in chaotica.
The full size is 16000x12000.

Why did you make it that big? No wonder it took so long.

That's the minimum size I do all my renders.

...that's hilarious!!!
The short answer to that is no. I work very hard to market my artwork and work with companies and organizations and I might sell one or two pieces a year. I don't "get" to do any of it as if I were miraculously blessed by some means; it all comes from a massive amount of hard work and time put into it.

I didn't mean to suggest that you don't work hard to get your art sold.
I was just saying that you must make them that size because you need them that big for a really good reason.

No problem. Just didn't want you to think it was a walk in the park.
